  • 1 tbsp packed of brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 pounds total)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce


  1. Start by preparing the mix. Put the brown sugar, mustard, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked salt, black pepper, and also cayenne in a tiny bowl and keep mixing until it’s all blended.

  • 1 rack ribs spare ribs or baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp seasoned salt
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup apple juice


  1. Start by mixing together the brown sugar, paprika, and the seasoned salt with each other in a small bowl.
  2. Cut off any fat excess of the back of the ribs and then pour over the mix over the whole surface of the ribs.
  3. Insert the trivet in the pressure cooker. Pour in the apple juice right into the bottom of the pot. Roll the ribs in a circle and put it on the trivet inside the Instant Pot. Place the lid and seal the vent.
  4. Cook the ribs using the high-pressure mode. Baby Back Ribs: 25 minutes. Spare Ribs: 35 minutes.
  5. Once the timer is done, let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes.
  6. Optional Step: Place the prepared ribs on a sheet/broiler frying pan. Rub it with your favorite barbecue sauce. Cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes. Flip, rub with more BBQ sauce, and cook it for 3-4 minutes on the opposite side.

  • 1 rack baby back ribs about 1 1/2- 2lbs
  • 1 cup broth or water
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke optional
  • 4 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 6 tablespoons dry rub
  • barbecue sauce optional


  • 2 tbsp of paprika
  • 2 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp of garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp of onion powder
  • 1 tbsp of black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of lemon pepper
  • 1 tbsp of smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp of oregano


  1. Clean the ribs Get rid of the fat from the back of the ribs.
  2. Prepare the Mix to rub in by mixing the Dry Rub Ingredients all together on a bowl.
  3. Cut the ribs into 2 or 3 pieces(enough so they fit inside the Instant Pot), now cover the ribs completely with the dry rub mix, be sure that it really gets into the meat.
